This is the journey of Our So Called Frugal Lives! We are penny pinching, bargain hunting, deal seeking, coupon clipping, ECB/Rebate lovin' moms trying to learn how to save our families money, find financial peace and live greener lives!

I was at my local Walmart and noticed they had the Leapster2 marked down to $40.00 even. There is a $10.00 off coupon at coupons.com (See sidebar) so that would make it only $30.00 which is a FANTASTIC deal. At Christmas I paid $70.00 for one. It's never too early to start picking up things for Christmas presents. Just wanted to share.
Today I went shopping at Target and Wal-Mart. To my surprise the cashiers I had at both stores were so friendly and even better coupon friendly. The were both encouraging and excited to see me using coupons. The cashier at Target even encouraged me to stack Target coupons and MQs. At Wal-Mart my cashier was so excited that I saved $80.00 that she couldn't stop talking about it. It seems all too often retailers get hung up on couponers and have some negative words or body language when you're in the checkout line so imagine how grateful I was for a wonderful shopping trip like today!
At Target I picked up the Leapster2 using the $5.00 Leapfrog Target Q and $10.00 MQ which can be found in my side bar. That made the total for the Leapster2 only about $34.00. I also picked up the Leapfrog fridge phonics that has lowercase letters and can spell three letter words. My 3 year old is going to LOVE this one. We have the uppercase letter one already. He knows his alphabet and nearly all the letters by sight recogntion and even can tell me what sound they make. I think this is just amazing b/c I'm almost POSITIVE I didn't know any of this at barely age three. We are going to put these in their Easter baskets and pick up a few games that Target has on sale this week!
Also I noticed that Electrosol/Finish 20 count was on sale for $3.00 at Target. There are $1.00 off MQ's from a recent circular! This is a pretty good deal. I think I'm going to go back and do a little shopping this week!
One other thing to note. The Target Cashier and I talked about Price Matching and how she thought it would be WONDERFUL if our Target would start that. She also informed me that Price Chopper now price matches. I haven't yet confirmed this w/ Price Chopper but when I do I'll post back w/ the updated info. If you are in the Kansas City area this may be worth checking out!
Feels good to have saved myself some money today and I'm very excited to get back into active couponing!
Well, it's Friday, and I was happy to see this in my inbox this evening:
YouData, Inc. just sent you money with PayPal.
Payment details
| Amount: | ![]() | $5.31 USD |

Happy to report that they are legit! I earned $5.42, but they deducted 11¢ for Paypal fees, so that's why the total is lower than I stated in my previous post. I just viewed a few more ads totaling $1.20 and taking approximately 22.4 seconds :)
I just came across an easy money making opportunity - let's see if it pans out! YouData is a website where you click on ads to earn money. It's different than some other sites because you are paid in cash instead of points to redeem for gift cards. They pay every Friday via PayPal, so you'll need a PayPal account to participate.
When I first signed up, I had a few dollars worth of ads to view, and it took less than 5 minutes, if even that. Today I went back and updated my profile info and got even more ads to view. I should be receiving a payment for at least $5.42 on Friday! Not bad for a few minutes worth of clicking on the mouse!
